Love Letters
We chose Renee Tesch as our doula for the birth of our first child. We
had interviewed a number of doulas and chose Renee based on the presentation
of her services, her numerous resources and her most valuable asset –
her wealth of experience and information surrounding prenatal, childbirth
and post-natal care.
Renee provided excellent resources that we could read and learn more about
what to expect. We chose to do a home birth and Renee helped to make this
a memorable experience. Renee was intuitive to mom’s needs and was
a calming and reassuring presence.
We would recommend Renee as a doula to any mothers-to-be interested in practical
information, excellent and supportive care throughout the pregnancy.

Renee,
Jonathan and I really can’t find words to express how grateful we
are to have you as our doula. As Catholics, we believe that sufferings can
be offered up to God as prayers to help those in need. Also with the benefits
of a natural birth for both the baby and mother, we wanted to have a natural
birth. As you have said, the birth of our daughter is indeed a sacred moment.
Honestly, I really couldn’t have made it without you. You have offered
such excellent physical and emotional support. When the nurse rudely commanded
me to change my position (as baby’s heart rate was dropping), you
encouraged and reminded me that it was for the sake of the baby. So, although
fearing that changing position might hurt more, I did it because of your
encouragement. You always prepared my mind for and helped me to cope with
any upcoming challenge (ie. the discomfort of a vaginal exam, stitching
up my tear, etc.,) Last but not least; I can’t forget your back massage.
Remember how I kept asking for MORE?
Renee, thanks so much for helping to bring my daughter into the world in
the most natural way. We will definitely come back to you when we have our
next and recommend you to our friends. THANK YOU SO MUCH and God bless you!

Little did we know how much support Renee was going to be for us until
we went in the hospital and started the labor process? Renee educated us
every step of the way as to the pros and cons of any intervention that may
happen so that we were able to make informed decisions and protect our desire
to have a natural birth. I could write a book on everything Renee did for
us. She provided strength and encouragement when I felt I couldn’t
do it and she guided my husband to be a loving participant.
Renee is a definite godsend.
